Man in hospital after stabbing in Sligo town

There are reports that up to four men were involved in the incident.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING after a person was found with injuries in Sligo town.

There are reports that a young man had his finger severed during the incident.

Gardaí confirmed that an injured person was found at around 4pm at Fish Quay, just off O’Connell Street.

He was then taken to Sligo General Hospital with what are described as non-life threatening injuries.

Gardaí are investigating the incident and calling for any witnesses to come forward.
