Stay at home to save lives: Here are the new measures to combat the spread of COVID-19

Ireland is at Level 5. We must reduce the rate of transmission.

COVID-19 infection rates are at an all-time high across all age groups, including the most vulnerable. We must act now to protect our loved ones as well as the health service and front line staff.

  • Schools will remain closed until 1st February. Provision will be made for special education.
  • Childcare services will remain closed except for services for vulnerable children and children of essential workers.
  • Construction will close except for health related and social housing projects, repair and maintenance of critical infrastructure and other essential projects.
  • Click and collect services are no longer available for non-essential retail. Click and deliver services will continue.
