Poll: Are you less productive at work in summer?

Give it to us straight. Be honest.

EVER HEARD OF the ‘summer Friday’? Some US companies have been experimenting with cutting working hours on Friday, or giving them the day off altogether, because productivity is already lower – and it can raise morale and prevent burnout.

This report also claims that offering this time off is cheaper and more effective than offering financial perks such as raises or bonuses.

There’s probably no point in asking if you would prefer to work fewer hours at the end of your working week (er, yes, please).

Instead, we want to know if you find yourself less productive at work during the summer as this ‘summer Friday’ policy seems to imply?

Poll Results:

Yes, I definitely find it harder to knuckle down (2513)
No, I'm the same year-round (2047)
No, I'm actually more productive (795)
I don't have a job at the moment (258)
