There will be heavy and possibly thundery showers in places.

THE SUNSHINE LOOKS set to stick around this week as the Leaving Cert exams get underway tomorrow.

Today will be warm with top temperatures of 19 to 23 degrees.

However, showers will break out this afternoon and evening over the western half of the country. Some of the showers will be heavy with localised thundery downpours in places.

Tonight will be mostly dry with lows of 9 to 13 degrees.

Tomorrow, the first day of the State exams, will be warm with sunny spells and highs of 20 – 24 degrees.

There will also be a few heavy and possibly thundery showers in the afternoon and evening.
