IT CAN BE hard to get out of bed on these cold mornings but there are some things that make it worthwhile.
TheJournal.ie reader Shane Lynch (we’re pretty sure it’s not this Shane Lynch) sent us this image from Cork City yesterday morning.
It was taken with a HTC One X+ smart phone from the Brian Boru bridge at about 7.45am.

I have hens and on wet mornings it’s a real pain going across the field to let them out but on clear days it’s a lovely way to start the day. I usually catch the first rays of sunlight coming over the hill. For the last few mornings the air has been thick with birdsong and that’s just such a nice way to start the day!
