Summer is here! Here's how long it's going to last...

Enjoy it while you can…

IF YOU WERE wondering where summer had got to, here’s your answer.

It may not last very long, but most of Ireland is set to be bathed in warm sunshine today. Temperatures are expected to reach highs of more than 20°C, with the warmest areas in the Midlands and the North.

There will be only light winds, with the gusty conditions of the last few days largely disappearing.

A few areas are in for isolated showers, according to Met Éireann – but as this rainfall radar shows, it’s gloriously clear across most of the country:

Sadly, it sounds like the sunshine will be making only a cameo appearance. Rain is expected across most of the country tomorrow, with the weekend staying cloudy and windy.

So enjoy it while it lasts, eh?
