A burst water main did this to Swords main street

A burst water main on the main street earlier this morning is to blame for the partial flooding.

THE MAIN STREET in Swords is closed due to a burst water main.

The Swords Business Park, North Street and Seatown Park are all affected by the burst main.

The council said that the water supply in the above areas will be be off until this afternoon, although it could not give a specific time:

Council crews were working on site this morning assessing the work needed to repair the water main and restore water supply.

A local told TheJournal.ie that parts of Swords Plaza shopping area were partially flooded from about 5.30am, but a unit from the local fire station was able to turn the main off and divert water into the drains.
