1. #WICKLOW: The man who died in Avoca, Co Wicklow, last night after an alleged assault has been named as Brian Doyle, 48. Doyle is understood to have lived in the area. The investigation into his death is ongoing and gardaí have appealed to anyone who was in Fitzgerald’s pub in the village yesterday between 3pm and 10.30pm to contact them.

5. #GAA: Hurling star Séan Óg Ó hAilpín has announced his retirement from inter-county hurling after a 14-year-career. He says he made the decision over the weekend after Cork hurling manager Denis Walsh told him he was not included in Walsh’s plans for the Cork panel.
