Watch Ted Cruz describe how he will deport illegal Irish immigrants from the US

Donald Trump’s rival pulled no punches on the topic.

REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL HOPEFUL Ted Cruz has said he would deport all people living illegally in the US.

During an interview on Fox News, Bill O’Reilly asked Donald Trump’s rival if he would deport the 12 million people living in America illegally.

The host zoned in on illegal Irish immigrants in particular, asking the Texas senator:

So Tommy O’Malley from Co Cork in Ireland is over here and he overstays his visa, and he’s got a couple of kids and he’s settled into Long Island. And you, President Cruz, are going to send the Feds to his house to take him out and put him on a plane back to Ireland?

Cruz replied: “You better believe it. Right now we actually can’t do that because we don’t have a biometric exit-entry system so we don’t know, as in your example, when Tommy goes home.”

The senator said he would introduce such a system.

As president I will put that in place. We will know the day someone overstays their visa and be able to send law enforcement to apprehend them and send them home.

Speaking about Mexico, Cruz stated: “We should build a wall, we should triple the border patrol.”

Cruz went on to say illegal immigrants are driving down wages and taking jobs from American people.

Trump decisively won Nevada’s Republican caucuses overnight. Cruz finished third, behind Senator Marco Rubio.
