A TEENAGER HAS appeared in court, charged in connection with the murder of 71-year-old James Boyce earlier this month.

The 18-year-old man, named as Christopher McNamara of Good Sheppard Villas, Pennywell, Limerick, appeared in Limerick District Court this afternoon. Five people in total had been arrested in connection with the death, however all others have been released.

Army veteran Boyce was found deceased in his home in St Mary’s Park, Limerick, on 7 March. He had been viciously beaten before being dragged upstairs and locked in a bedroom.
