Teenager due up in court in connection with fatal assault

The male youth has was arrested this morning.

A TEENAGER IS due in in court in Mayo this afternoon in connection with a fatal assault.

The male youth will appear before Castlebar District Court at 2pm this afternoon.

He has been charged in connection with a fatal assault that happened at Claremount Manor, in the Claremorris area of the county on 19 December 2015.

He is currently in garda custody at Claremorris Garda Station having been arrested earlier this morning.

Another male teenager suffered fatal injuries during the incident and was pronounced dead at the scene.
