Teenager dies after fall from Bundoran holiday apartments

The 17-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene in the early hours of this morning.

A TEENAGER HAS died after he fell from the roof of a holiday apartment building in Donegal in the early hours of this morning.

Gardaí have confirmed to TheJournal.ie that a 17-year-old was found on the ground by the entrance to the Tyrconnell holiday apartments on Station Road, Bundoran in Co Donegal at around 2.30am this morning.

Attempts to revive the boy were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is understood that the teenager, who is originally from Dublin and had been holidaying at the apartment block, had attempted to climb the roof of the building in order to gain access but slipped and fell.

Gardaí at Ballyshannon are investigating but have described the incident as a “tragic accident”.
