Teenager dies in Tipperary car crash

A female passenger was also injured in the collision between a car and a lorry in Cappawhite early this morning.

A 19-YEAR-OLD man has died following a car crash in Tipperary overnight.

The man’s car collided with a lorry shortly after 12.30am in Glasdrum in Cappawhite, Co Tipperary. The young driver died at the scene while a female passenger was taken to Clonmel hospital with non life-threatening injuries, the Irish Times reports.

The road is currently closed, RTÉ reports and witnesses have been asked to contact Tipperary Town Garda Station on 062-80670.
