Teenager due in court over fatal Wexford crash

One teenager died after car struck wall and entered the water at Courtown Harbour last month.

A 19-YEAR-OLD male is due in court this morning in connection with a fatal car crash in Courtown, Co Wexford on 15 June.

The teenager was arrested in the Wexford area yesterday and is due to appear before Gorey District Court at 10.30am.

At around 10.30pm on 15 June, a car struck a wall before entering the water at Courtown Harbour. Two of the car’s three teenage occupants managed to swim to safety.

The body of the third teenager, a 19-year-old male, was later taken from the water by the Coast Guard and emergency services.
