Teenager hospitalised after assault at Luas station

Gardaí appeal for witnesses after a 19-year-old is hospitalised following an assault on the Luas platform at Drimnagh.

GARDAÍ IN WEST DUBLIN have issued an appeal for witnesses after a teenager was hospitalised following an assault at a Luas station two weeks ago.

The incident occurred on Wednesday 31 August, when a 19-year-old was attacked shortly before noon on the inbound platform at the Drimnagh Luas station.

Gardaí are particularly keen to speak to a witness who assisted the injured teenager at the time. He is described as being 5’10″ in height, of average build, with a goatee beard.

The witness was wearing a grey sweatshirt, blue jeans and white runners, and was also carrying a black bag over his shoulder.
