Teenager seriously injured in Dublin hit-and-run

Gardaí are appealing for information about the van which struck a teenage pedestrian last night on the Lower Kimmage Road.

A PEDESTRIAN has been seriously injured in a hit-and-run on the Lower Kimmage Road in Dublin.

The pedestrian, aged in his late teens, was struck by a large light-coloured van which failed to stop at around 9.30pm. The incident occurred on Lower Kimmage Road near the junction with Aideen Avenue.

He was taken to St James’ Hospital, where his condition is described as serious.

Gardaí are appealing to the van driver and any witnesses to contact them at Terenure Garda Station on 01 666 6400 or at any garda station. They can also be contacted on the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
