TWO TEENAGERS WHO were being questioned by gardaí over an vicious assault on a Polish man in the early hours of Saturday morning have been released without charge, RTÉ reports.
The 27-year-old victim of the assault Lukasz Rzeszutko, who has been on life support in Beaumont Hospital since the attack, died yesterday evening of his injuries.
The Director of Public Prosecutions is preparing a file on the case.
Meanwhile a 20-year-0ld man appeared in court yesterday, charged with assault causing harm.
The man, Edward Byrne with an address at a Dublin 8 YMCA hostel, was remanded in custody to appear at Cloverhill District Court on Friday.
Rzeszutko had on his way to work at a fish processing plant, Kish Fish, the Newtown industrial estate in Coolock at about 5am on Saturday morning when he was set upon by a gang.
RTÉ reported that his family had travelled from Poland to be with him after learning of the attack.
