Man charged with murder in relation to Terenure death

The man in his 30s is to appear in court this morning.

A MAN IS to appear in front of Dublin District Court at the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning in relation to the death of a man in his 60s in a flat in Terenure over the weekend.

At approximately 5.45 pm on Saturday, gardaí and emergency services were called to a flat at a house in the Ashdale Gardens area of Terenure.

A man in his 60s was taken from the scene by ambulance to St. James’ Hospital having sustained head injuries. It is understood he had been badly beaten and was later pronounced dead.

A man aged 31-years-old was arrested at the scene and was taken for questioning at Terenure Garda Station. He was later charged with murder.

The man is to appear in court this morning at 10.30am.
