Teresa Mannion's windswept news report went down a storm this evening

“Don’t make unnecessary journeys, don’t take risks on treacherous roads and don’t swim in the sea!”

RTÉ REPORTER TERESA Mannion showed the ultimate dedication to her craft tonight, braving the storm on the west coast to bring us a particularly special ‘journalist in horrendous weather’ report.

Speaking live on the Six One News from Salthill in Galway, she roared the following advice at viewers:

Don’t make unnecessary journeys, don’t take risks on treacherous roads and don’t swim in the sea!

And the internet bloody loved it:

Maybe next time poor Teresa can take her own advice.
