The supermarket chain is recalling its Chunky Chocolate Shortcakes with a best before date of 3 September 2016 (175 g) because they contain egg, but it is not listed as one of the ingredients.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has released a statement saying the undeclared egg “may make this batch unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of egg or its constituents”.

No other batches of the product are affected.
