This Tesla Model S is quick with a capital F

Here’s your chance to own one of the most talked about cars of the last decade.

IF I HAD the money I’d buy…

A car that is quick, with a capital F. One of the most talked about cars of the last decade and one that lives up to the hype. I’d buy a Tesla Model S.

Why a Tesla Model S?

The Tesla Model S appeals to both tech lovers and car lovers as it is packed to the rafters with innovative features and functions as well as being very engaging to drive. This is a big luxury car with buckets of space for the whole family so it is very practical too. It can even take three child seats across the back.

And it is fast too. Really fast. It performance figures are incredible, and not just for an electric vehicle but for any vehicle of this size and weight. And, of course, you get to feel quite smug driving around in such a green, clean car.

What’s special about this particular one?

This particular model is powered by a 285kW electric motor with a maximum power output of 235kW (315hp) and is fitted with a 70kWh battery pack.  It’s capable of a range of around 390km. The rear-wheel drive version can go from 0-100km/h in just 5.8 seconds and has a top speed of 225km.

It is finished in a deep blue metallic paint and wears 19-inch split five spoke alloy wheels. The cabin is very elegant looking and finished in a soft tan leather with piano black accents and an Alcantara headliner. It features a striking 17-inch portrait style touchscreen from which you operate nearly all of the car’s functions. And of course it has a whole host of innovative technology on board.

Who else drives one?

The Tesla Model S is a favourite among the Hollywood elite with Will Smith, Demi Moore, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck, Steven Spielberg and Morgan Freeman all owning one.

It costs €79,900. What else could you get for the money?

The closest true rival to the Model S at the moment is this 2014 Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid.
