A TEACHER IN Thailand has been fired after a video of him beating students with a cane wrapped in electrical wire was released.

The video, which was secretly filmed by another student using his mobile phone, shows the teacher violently hitting three students. The students subsequently gave Thai media photographs of their scarred buttocks.

The art teacher, who was working at St Mary’s School in Nakhon Ratchasima province, was reportedly punishing his students for not cleaning their rooms properly.
