EVERY WEEKDAY EVENING, TheJournal.ie brings you the five stories you need to know before you head out the door.

.#BUDGET 2013 Finance Minister Michael Noonan has defended the PRSI increases in yesterday’s budget, saying they are the ‘best value taxpayers can get’. Meanwhile, we look at what Budget measures have already come into effect, and Minister Brendan Howlin says there may be moves to hold future Budgets in October rather than December.

.#OSCE The US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, has told an OSCE conference in Dublin that she has “a growing concern for the future of this organisation and the values it has always championed”. Before her speech, she met with 11 civil society activists from around the world to hear their concerns about repression in their nations.

.#FLAG ROW The Alliance Party has called for the Northern Ireland Assembly to be recalled and show it is united against recent violence in Antrim and Down. Last night saw attacks on Alliance Party offices and members as part of a row over the decision of Belfast City Council to stop flying the Union flag every day.

.#HACKERS Hackers have stolen €36 million from more than 30,000 customers at banks across Europe. The ‘Eurograbber’ attacks began in Italy and spread to Germany, Spain and Holland. Online banking sessions were monitored and manipulated by the attackers.

.#LONDON Celebrity publicist Max Clifford has been arrested and is being questioned by police in London on suspicion of sexual offences. He was detained as part of Operation Yewtree, which is investigating historic sex offences and centres on allegations against former BBC presenter Jimmy Savile.
