1. #SAY HELLO: British Chancellor George Osborne has spoken for the first time since Friday’s Brexit vote result. “It will not be plain sailing in the days ahead, but we are equipped for what will happen,” he said.

2. #WAVE GOODBYE? Staying in the UK, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has said he will stand in any new leadership election, the BBC reports. It’s after a raft of resignations from his shadow cabinet (more are expected).

3. #MORE TURMOIL: The Spanish elections have delivered a hung parliament for the second time in six months. The centre right People’s Party got the most votes.

4. #BLOOD BAN: Here at home, Ireland’s lifetime ban on gay and bisexual men donating blood is set to end. The change means gay and bisexual men will have to wait one year before being able to donate blood after last sexual contact.

5. #BEHIND BARS: Gang culture has become such a problem in Irish prisons that as many as one in four inmates in some facilities are under protection.

6. #ROLLERCOASTER CRASH: Ten people remain in hospital after a rollercoaster crash in the Motherwell area yesterday, according to BBC Scotland. 

7. #NOT HAPPY: A raft of complaints were lodged with the Irish Language Commissioner last year over English translations of Gaeltacht area names and addresses under the Eircode system, RTÉ reports.

8. #FRANK TALKING: Pope Francis has said that Christians and the Roman Catholic Church should apologise to gay people and seek their forgiveness.

9. #A SORT OF HOMECOMING? The Republic of Ireland footballers are preparing to return home, after being knocked out of Euro 2016 by France yesterday. There have been calls for a homecoming ceremony to welcome them back.
