Figures compiled by The Journal show there were 16 hit-and-run incidents on Irish roads from 1 November 2024 to 6 January 2025.

2. The death toll from massive wildfires that have ravaged Los Angeles rose to 24 on Sunday, with officials warning of incoming dangerous winds that could whip the blazes up further.
