1. #SECURITY: Nearly 7,000 eMobile and Meteor customers have been affected after two Eircom laptops containing personal data were stolen last December. The telecoms company only revealed the data breach today and says it is writing to affect customers to inform them about the issue.

2. #ANGLO: A restructured deal to reduce the Anglo debt burden will be struck “in the next few weeks” Pat Rabbitte has said. The deal to restructure the promissory notes to the now-defunct bank worth €31 billion will be agreed by the end of March, the Communications Minister said in an interview today.

3. #SHOOTING: Gardaí have launched an investigation after a man in his 20s was shot dead at his home in Donegal last night. The scene at the house in Buncrana has been sealed off pending a forensic investigation.

4. #MINISTERIAL MERCS: Fancy owning a former ministerial car? The fleet of former State cars – which were used for ministers, former Taoisigh and ex-presidents – will be sold off at a public auction soon, the Minister for Justice has said.

5. #CORK AIR CRASH: The lawyer acting for families of people involved in the Cork air crash has said that pilot decisions were the main cause of the crash, which took place one year ago today. Meanwhile, there will be no official commemoration to mark the anniversary of the air disaster which claimed the lives of six people at Cork Airport.

6. #GREECE: EU finance ministers are refusing to release much-needed bailout funds to Greece despite a deal reached by political leaders in the debt-stricken country yesterday. Eurozone ministers say Greece must meet new conditions before the money can be released.

7. #FGM: More than 3,000 women living in Ireland have been subjected to female genital mutilation, a TD has revealed. New legislation which will categorise FGM as a distinct offence is nearing its final stages in the Dáil.

8. #HEALTH: Fewer than half of the number of academic clinician posts recommended in a 2006 report on undergraduate medical training in Ireland have been approved. New figures in the Medical Independent show that 49 clinical academic appointments have been made since 2006, far less than 99 posts recommended by a report six years ago.

9. #STEVE JOBS: The FBI has released the file it held on Apple co-founder Steve Jobs in which the iconic business leader is described as a “deceptive individual” with “questionable” moral character.  The file also notes that Jobs used LSD and marijuana during his college days.
