1 #ALL-PARTY TALKS: Fine Gael has indicated its support for the government’s four-year economic strategy. Leo Varadkar says the party will not be bound by any specific details the talks contain, but instead favours a plan involving a three-to-one ratio of cuts to tax increases.

2 #DUNDALK: A third man detained by gardaí investigating the murder of a 18-year-old man in Dundalk last week has been released without charge. The other two men being questioned were released from custody yesterday. A file is being prepared for the DPP.

3 #ROADS: A motorcyclist has been killed on the N7 Dublin Road just outside Limerick city.

4 #MUMBAI: The wives of a businessman convicted over the Mumbai terrorist attacks in 2008 warned US authorities that the man was invovled with a group planning an attack on India. An FBI official familiar with the information downplayed its importance, saying it was general in nature.

5 #WORLD CUP: RTÉ’s World Cup pundits, both in Ireland and South Africa, have claimed expenses of almost €350,000 for the period of the competition. RTÉ defended the spend, saying it sent a team of 11 to South Africa, in comparison with the BBC’s 295 and ITV’s 160.

6 #INSURANCE: The Sunday Business Post reports this morning that the cost of health insurance has risen by 170% over the past decade.

7 #FRANCE: 30 people were arrested in Paris yesterday during protests over the country’s pension reforms, according to RTÉ radio news this morning. Sarkozy has introduced a bill to raise the retirement age from 60 to 62.

8 #TUDORS: The Sunday Times reports that the success of TV drama The Tudors helped to boost Ardmore Studio’s profits, which increased by 70% in 2009.

9 #DAYBREAK: Celebrity agent Max Clifford has advised Gráinne Seoige to search for a new job as ITV’s Daybreak show fails to impress viewers.  Viewing figures have dropped significantly from the one million who tuned in to the first show, leading to speculation that ITV will drop or completely revamp the programme.
