1. #POLLS: There is a clear margin of support for the Fiscal Treaty, according to two polls this morning. A Sunday Business Post/Red C poll shows 60 per cent in favour and 40 per cent against, while a Sunday Independent/Millward Brown Lansdowne poll shows 37pc for; 26pc against; and 36pc undecided.

2. #FIANNA FÁIL: Micheál Martin has made a full apology for his party’s mistakes in government. “We got things wrong, and we are sorry for that. No equivocation, no half-apology,” he told delegates at the Fianna Fáil Ard Fheis last night. Catch up on his full speech here.

3. #TRAIN CRASH: At least 15 people have been killed after two trains collided head-on in Poland, with another 54 hospitalised. Videos of the scene in the aftermath of the smash show carriages mangled and on top of one another.

4. #IAN BAILEY: Lawyers for Ian Bailey say that gardaí told his girlfriend he would “kill again” – and warned Bailey he would be “found dead” – as they investigated the 1996 murder of French filmmaker Sophie Toscan du Plantier, the Sunday Times reports. Bailey has lodged a complaint about the investigation.

5. #US 2012: Mitt Romney has moved a step closer to securing the Republican nomination for the US presidency after an easy win in the Washington state caucuses, theLA Times reports. The victory willl lend Romney momentum in the run-up to ‘Super Tuesday’ this week.

6. #OCCUPY: Protesters at the Occupy Dame Street encampment have told gardaí that they will not vacate the Central Bank plaza for the St Patrick’s Day parade, reports the Sunday Independent. The activists were asked to move by officers last week.

7. #SYRIA: The Red Cross and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent remain barred from the war-torn Baba Amr district of Homs as they attempt to bring aid to its residents. A humanitarian crisis is feared in the area, which has been the scene of heavy fighting.

8. #PIRACY: Eircom has withdrawn internet access from 100 customers over illegal music downloading to date, according to record companies. However the Sunday Times reports that none were permanently cut off.

9. #RUSSIA: As Russians vote in a general election that Vladimir Putin is expected to win, webcams installed in polling stations have brought plenty of transparency to proceedings. The feeds showed private parties under way in the community centres used for voting, and at least one couple in an amorous embrace on a table, the Associated Press reports.
