The abortion debate: the words that mattered

These were the most common words heard on in Leinster House last night.

LAST NIGHT’S DEBATE on the Protection of Life During Pregnancy Bill 2013 lasted until 1am.

Ireland’s politicians discussed the technicalities and possible problems with the proposed legislation before voting just after midnight.

The conversation centred on the unborn’s right to life and the woman’s right to medical treatment. This word cloud shows the most commonly used words in the Dáil throughout the night.
