The Bear Season Two is simply unmissable TV - now streaming exclusively on Disney+

Season Two of The Bear boasts an astounding 100% Rotten Tomatoes rating.

THE BEAR IS back. After its loyal fanbase was forced to wait for close to a year with endless anticipation, the second season of FX’s The Bear is streaming from today, exclusively on Disney+.

After a hugely successful first season, the critically acclaimed show’s second installment continues to chronicle the life of Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, an award-winning chef who turned his back on the haughty fine dining environment in New York to return to the family business in Chicago. Played by Jeremy Allen White (Shameless), the cast of the show also features Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Punisher), Ayo Edebiri (Black Mirror), Lionel Boyce (Loiter Squad), Liza Colón-Zayas (The Purge: Election Year), and Abby Elliott (SNL).

The first season mainly focuses on Carmy’s attempts to turn around the family-owned restaurant that he inherited after his older brother died by suicide. In every episode, Carmy and his dysfunctional kitchen crew work together battling disaster after disaster, from a faulty generator to run-ins with local criminals, in what is an absolutely breathtaking and anxiety-inducing drama that you won’t be able to take your eyes off. Every single episode never strays too far from catastrophe, as Carmy tries to make a success out of what remains of his brother’s legacy.

Fast-paced action and quippy dialogue underpin the series, but White’s depiction of Carmy is truly what makes the show unmissable. His performance earned him best actor awards at the Critics’ Choice Television Awards, Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild Awards.

What to expect in Season Two

The second season of the unmissable show, which will include appearances from Molly Gordon (Booksmart) and Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul), picks up directly from where the first season ended. The challenges facing Carmy and his team continue to mount, as he also looks to ease his tense relationship with both his work family and his real family.

Renovating a restaurant, the main task facing Carmy, requires a lot of work and a lot of money. Carmy and his brother used to dream of opening a restaurant together called The Bear, and making that dream a reality puts a strain on Carmy’s relationship with his staff.

Like the first season, Carmy is constantly putting out fires as they come up, reeling from one sucker punch to the next. Dealing with his own troubles with mental health, Carmy is constantly walking a tightrope in his day-to-day life.

Whether you watch to vicariously live out your dream of owning a restaurant, drool over Jeremy Allen White, or because your resting heart rate is simply too low and needs to be increased, Season Two of The Bear is the must-see show of this summer.

The Bear does an excellent job depicting the nerve-wracking anxiety of an overworked, overstressed kitchen, whilst also receiving huge praise for its comedic elements. You’ll find yourself crying and laughing in equal measure as you follow the never-ending struggle that comes with running a failing restaurant.

Just like season one, the second season is packed with twists and turns that will leave you exhausted by the end of each episode, but you’ll find it impossible to switch it off. Extremely bingeable, all ten episodes (two more than the first season) of season two are available to stream exclusively on Disney+ from today.

Sign up to Disney+ to stream The Bear and so much more for just €8.99 per month.
