The bounty hunter is back: Watch The Book of Boba Fett exclusively on Disney+ from today

In a galaxy far, far away…

Star Wars / YouTube

“I AM BOBA Fett, left for dead on the sands of Tatooine. Jabba ruled with fear. I intend to rule with respect.” As an all-new Star Wars adventure arrives on our screens today, anticipation among fans old and new is running sky-high. As one critic put it: “Star Wars’ coolest character finally has his own show.”

The Book of Boba Fett follows the bounty hunter and his assassin sidekick Fennec Shand as they take over the throne once occupied by Jabba the Hutt, aiming to carve out a place for themselves in the galactic underworld following Hutt’s death. The new series premiere is now streaming exclusively to all Disney+ subscribers, with fresh episodes dropping weekly.

Starring Temuera Morrison, who also appeared in The Mandalorian, the show sees Boba Fett and Fennec Shand battling to establish their crime syndicate on Tatooine as they face attacks from an unknown force. “There is a power vacuum because Jabba is gone,” the shows creator Jon Favreau told Empire. “Jabba was clearly a very strong and imposing leader, who people were very scared of, and who seemed to rule with an iron fist. You pull somebody like that out of the ecosystem of Tatooine… and you have the opportunity that’s ripe for the gangter genre.”

Speculation among Star Wars fans is already at fever pitch that the series will finally answer a key question of the Star Wars universe: What happened to Boba Fett after he fell to his apparent death in the sarlacc pit, in Return of the Jedi? “There will definitely be a number of answers,” Temuera Morrison told SFX magazine. “Some long-winded answers. Some short and sharp answers. Some colourful answers.” Can’t wait? Us neither. The Book of Boba Fett is primarily directed by Robert Rodriguez, who also helmed an episode of The Mandalorian.  The Book of Boba Fett is now streaming exclusively to all Disney+ subscribers. You can watch the series or sign up at DisneyPlus.com.
