This is how Ireland looks this morning. Are we optimistic?

Sun? Rain? What’s your money on?

WE WERE TOLD yesterday that the weather would ‘break’ today but early risers have been greeted with blue skies and the promise of a clear day this Monday morning.

However, Met Éireann’s rainfall radar shows some ominous looking blue patches (signifying rain) off the west and southwest. AND, the weather men and women predict some outbreaks of rain spreading from the Atlantic during the morning and afternoon, turning heavy in places in those areas.

While the north and east can expect hazy sunshine and dry conditions for most of the day, rain is expected to spread gradually by tonight.

Showers are also on the way for tomorrow and then more changeable and unsettled weather will set in for the rest of the week. Temperatures will also be slightly below normal.

Sorry.

How you enjoyed today’s weather (and one person who definitely didn’t)
