GARDAÍ IN MACROOM have arrested three men following a drugs seizure at Derreenaling, Ballyvourney, Co. Cork.
The discovery was made yesterday evening when Gardaí from the Cork West Divisional Drugs Unit searched land at Derreenaling and discovered a sophisticated cannabis grow house located underground.
A large quantity of cannabis plant and herb with an estimated street value of €100,000 was seized.
The three men are detained at various West Cork Garda Stations under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act, 1996.

Why are comments closed on the Denis O’Brien case? A ruling has been made. Surely we’re allowed comment on our own laws? This outdated law needs to be repealed so the case can go ahead. It’s in the best interest of the public and transparency in government.
There is absolutely 0% of that law being repealed as long as endo and FG, or FF for that matter are around.
Couldn’t allow someone to sue the true ruler of Ireland. It’s common knowledge he is guilty but let’s not let that fact get in the way.
Didn’t Michael o Leary have a few run ins with Dinny. Why doesn’t he just donate the €10m to the guy for the good of the country. If he’s not taking any profit from the settlement when he wins and he surely will then he won’t be breaking that absurd ancient law.
