Three arrested after car stolen last night involved in crash this morning

The keys were taken from a house in a creeper style burglary.

THREE PEOPLE HAVE been arrested after a car that was taken in a creeper style burglary was involved in a crash this morning.

At around 11pm last night, keys were taken from a house in the Harberton Drive area of south Belfast and a brown Audi A3 was stolen.

Shortly before 8.45am this morning, three people were arrested after the car was involved in an RTC on the Bellsize Road at its junction with Wilmar Road.

The suspects, two men aged 16 and 18 and an 18-year-old woman, were arrested on suspicion of a number of offences and are currently in police custody.

Detective Sergeant Michael Hawthorne is appealing for anyone who witnessed the burglary or anyone with any information about the movements of the Audi A3 car between last night and this morning to contact detectives at Musgrave Police Station on 101.

Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
