Three arrested over Belfast cash-in-transit robbery

A vehicle was robbed by a man reported to have been armed with a machete earlier today.

THREE MEN HAVE been arrested as part of an investigation into the robbery of a cash-in-transit vehicle in north Belfast.

PSNI Detectives from the Serious Crime Branch arrested three men aged 24, 44 and 51 on the outskirts of north Belfast this afternoon.

The cash in transit vehicle was robbed on the Old Park Road at lunchtime by a man reported to have been armed with a machete. The suspect then made off with a sum of cash.

The sum of money was later recovered by police. The three suspects have been taken to a police station in Belfast for questioning.
