Three arrested over Cork shooting

A man in his late 30s died after being shot twice in Blarney this afternoon.

THREE MEN ARE being held in connection with an investigation into the fatal shooting of a man in Co Cork this afternoon.

The victim, believed to be in his late 30s, was shot after a disagreement with an occupant of a car in Waterloo in Blarney, Co Cork at around 3.45pm, RTÉ reports.

It is believed that the victim was the driver of a van who became engaged in an argument with an occupant of another car.

The victim had attempted to escape from the van after shots were fired but was shot twice, according to reports.
