Three arrested over ecstasy seizure in Kildare

Gardaí found the drugs with an estimated street value of €350,000 during a search operation in Castledermot in Kildare last night.

THREE MEN HAVE been arrested after gardaí seized ecstasy tablets with an estimated street value of €350,000 in Kildare.

The men, aged 25, 27 and 31, were arrested when gardaí from Athy and Carlow carried out a search operation in an open area in Castledermot in Co Kildare at around 6.30pm last night.

The quantity of ecstasy tablets were found in the search.

The men are currently detained at Naas, Newbridge and Kildare Garda stations.

They are being held under Section2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. The garda investigation into the seizure is continuing.
