Three arrested over handgun, ammunition found in Dublin

Gardaí searched two cars and three men on the Swords Road this afternoon.

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED three men after discovering a handgun and ammunition near Dublin Airport this afternoon.

Gardaí on patrol stopped two cars on the Swords Road near Coachman’s Inn at around 1.30pm today.

The two cars and their three male occupants were searched, and during these searches gardaí discovered a handgun and a quantity of ammunition.

The three men, one aged 33 and two aged 35, are being held at Ballymun and Santry Garda Stations under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
