Three arrested over Tullamore drug seizure

Gardaí have uncovered a large cannabis cultivation plant at a warehouse in Offaly.

GARDAÍ IN TULLAMORE have arrested three men in relation to a drugs haul in Offaly last night.

A search at a warehouse in Aughnacarna, Durrow turned up a large quantity of drugs, including 5,000 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €1.5 million.

Gardaí said they discovered the large cannabis cultivation operation at about 9.30pm on Tuesday.

Three men, all non-Irish nationals, were arrested at the scene. One 30-year-old man and two men in their 20s have been detained under section two of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Tullamore Garda Station.
