Three charged over fatal assault in Mullingar

20-year-old Andrew Dolan died after he was assaulted on Pearse Street in Mullingar over Christmas.

THREE PEOPLE ARE due to appear in court this afternoon charged in relation to the death of a 20-year-old man in Mullingar.

Two men in their 20s and one woman in her late teens will appear before a sitting of Mullingar District Court in connection with the death of Andrew Dolan from Carrick-on-Shannon.

Dolan was seriously assaulted during an incident on Pearse Street in Mullingar in the early hours of the morning on 23 December.

He died on New Year’s Day at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.
