Three in court after Garda patrol car ramming incident

The three men were arrested yesterday evening after they failed to stop at a checkpoint.

THREE MEN ARE due in court today after an incident involving a patrol car in Longford yesterday evening.

The three were arrested between Longford and Edgeworthstown after failing to stop at a checkpoint on the N4 on Wednesday afternoon.

Gardaí also told TheJournal.ie that the car rammed a Garda patrol vehicle during an incident later that evening. It is understood the patrol car was in pursuit of the vehicle at the time. Nobody was injured.

The accused are to appear at Mullingar District Court at 10.30am on dangerous driving charges.
