Three in court after gardaí make seven arrests in north Dublin

Four of the seven arrested have been released without charge.

THREE MEN ARRESTED last week after gardaí stopped and detained a van in Dublin are due in court this morning.

Three men were arrested on Rosemount Avenue, Artane, while another three in a nearby car and a seventh man close to the scene were all also arrested.

A firearm and other offensive weapons were discovered in one of the vehicles.

The men’s ages range from early 20s to mid 50s.

Four of those arrested have been released without charge, and a file is being prepared for the DPP.

All men were detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

It was the first operation by the new amalgamated Organised Crime Unit and Garda National Drug Unit
