Three men to appear before Special Criminal Court in connection with Republican activity

Two other men have been released and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

THREE MEN WILL appear before  the Special Criminal Court in connection with dissident republican activity.

The men were part of a group of five men arrested on Sunday after a suspect device was found at a house in Kilcurry in County Louth.

The three, aged 37, 38 and 44, will appear before the Special Criminal Court in the Criminal Courts of Justice on Parkgate Street in Dublin at 10am tomorrow.

The move comes as part of the ongoing investigations into the activities of dissident republicans by gardaí from the Special Detective Unit.

The two other men have been released and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
