The days of sleeping off that mulled wine are but a distant memory.

THERE IS RARELY a more special time of the year to be a parent than Christmas, though it does come with its usual drawbacks – getting adequate sleep being one of them.

Mere hours after Santa has visited to deposit presents underneath the tree, kids tend to emerge bright-eyed from their beds, somehow bursting with energy.

Was that your experience this year? Tell us in the comments.

So, tell us, what time did your kids get up on Christmas morning?

Poll Results:

Between 6am and 7am (251)
Between 8am and 9am (227)
Before 6am (128)
They somehow miraculously slept until 9am or after (72)
