Gardaí appeal for witnesses to fatal crash after car hit tree

A man in his 40s died.

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for information after a crash that left a man in his 40s dead.

The incident occurred in Tipperary some time yesterday morning. The car was found crashed into a tree at Portroe around 9.45am yesterday.

The driver and only occupant, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been removed to Limerick University Hospital where a post mortem examination will be carried out.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses who may have been on the road to contact them.
