Man charged after pepper spray discharged in Tivoli Theatre

Four theatre-goers were believed to be affected but none required hospital treatment.

A MAN HAS been charged after what’s believed to be pepper spray was discharged in Dublin’s Tivoli Theatre.

A spokesperson from the Garda Press Office told TheJournal.ie that Gardaí at Kevin Street garda station responded to a call at approximately 9.30pm last night.

Four theatre-goers were believed to be affected but none required hospital treatment.

A male and a female, both in their late 20s, were arrested at the scene.

The female has subsequently been released but the male has been charged and is due to appear in court on 22 May.
