Toddler rescued from rubbish bin in Spain

The two-year-old girl was discovered by local residents who heard muffled sobs coming from a rubbish bin.

A TWO-YEAR-OLD girl has been found alive in a rubbish container in southern Spain after allegedly being abandoned by her parents.

The girl was rescued after local residents in the town of Cabezo de Torres heard crying coming from a rubbish bin, the London Telegraph reports. According to local reports, residents say that they removed several large bags from the bin and found the toddler cowering inside “crying and sweating and showing panic in her face”.

The girl’s parents have been arrested and are now awaiting trial on suspicion of neglect, reports the BBC.
