These are the top ten brands in the world right now

No prizes for guess number one.

APPLE HAS ONCE again retained its position as the world’s most valuable brand, according to brand management firmIn terbrand’s annual rankings of the “best global brands.”

Technology and automotive brands dominated the rankings of 100 companies, taking up a combined 28 spots in the list.

The “top riser” this year was Facebook, which improved its brand value by 54% — but it sat outside of the top 10, in 23rd.

The ranking is based on a combination of the brands’ financial performance, the role the brand plays in influencing customer choice, and the strength the brand has to command a premium price or secure profit for the company.
