Which is in higher demand in your home, the iPad or the toy chest?

THIS TIME LAST MONTH, we put a tough question to our dedicated Parents Panel and gathered some pretty interesting answers as to how they limited screen time for their little ones.

From refusing to buy a television to unplugging the WiFi at random intervals, it seems Irish parents will go to whatever measures necessary to ensure that their kids aren’t spending too much time in front of their electronics.

Despite all that, the demand for touchscreens and modern gadgets may be on the way to eclipsing the traditional toy market.

During the week, iconic toy manufacturer Lego announced it would be cutting nearly 10% of its staff worldwide (1,400 jobs) due to a decline in turnover.

So, tell us, do your kids prefer touchscreens or traditional toys?

Poll Results:

It's a pretty even mix of the two. (68)
Definitely touchscreens. (67)
They would pick toys first. (61)
I don't know. (13)
