Tourist dies after crash with truck in Donegal

The driver of the car passed away in hospital last night.

AN AMERICAN TOURIST has died after a crash with a truck in Donegal on Monday.

The man in his 70s was seriously injured when the hire car he was driving collided with a truck at Rosnowlagh Junction between Ballyshannon and Donegal Town.

It happened at around 12.15pm on Monday.

Emergency services attended the scene and two people in the car were taken to Sligo General Hospital.

The driver of the car passed away in hospital last night.
